Meet Your Clinician
Areas of Focus: Relationship Issues, Career Concerns, Life Transitions & Family Dynamics
01. What does healing mean to you?
To me, healing begins when someone starts to believe that hope is possible and change is within reach. It's a process of rediscovering your inner strength, moving beyond survival mode, and regaining a sense of agency over your own life story.
02. What do you hope every client leaves therapy believing about themselves?
I hope every client leaves therapy knowing, deep down, that they are inherently lovable, worthy of respect, and deserving of meaningful connections, exactly as they are.
Learn More About Jacky
Finding the right therapist is about more than credentials—it’s also about feeling comfortable with the person sitting across from you.
03. What kind of clients do you feel most honoured to work with (specialty)?
I feel most honoured to walk alongside teens and young adults as they navigate identity, major life transitions, independence, and career pressures. With clinical experience in both Hong Kong and Vancouver, I specialize in supporting youth and emerging adults who find themselves balancing cultural expectations, family dynamics, and personal aspirations.
Whether you're feeling stuck, burned out, overwhelmed by anxiety, or simply trying to find your footing in a changing world, I strive to provide a grounded space—in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English—where you can untangle what you're feeling, find your own voice, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
04. What is one value that guides your work as a therapist?
A core value that guides my practice is the belief that every person is uniquely valuable. You are not a set of symptoms to be fixed, but a whole person with your own experiences, strengths, and perspectives that deserve to be honoured and understood.
05. What keeps you grounded outside of the therapy room?
Connecting with my family and going for a run are two of my favourite ways to stay grounded. Spending quality time with loved ones keeps me connected to what matters most, while running helps me clear my mind, move my body, and reset.
06. If a new client is feeling nervous about starting therapy, what would you want them to know?
It's completely normal to feel nervous or hesitant about starting therapy. You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. If something in your life isn't working the way you'd like, that's reason enough to reach out. Therapy is a safe, collaborative space where we move at a pace that feels right for you. You're always welcome to get in touch so we can explore what you're looking for and see if we're a good fit.
07. What can clients expect when working with you?
Working with me means having a grounded, collaborative space where you can show up without judgment. You set the pace—I’m not here to lecture you or give you generic advice. We work as a team to understand what feels heavy, explore the experiences and patterns that may be shaping you, and build practical tools you can actually use in everyday life. My goal is for therapy to feel like a partnership that helps you move forward with more clarity, confidence, and a stronger understanding of yourself.
