DEPRESSION SUPPORT
Reconnect with yourself, what matters to you, and the possibility of feeling more like you again.
Depression therapy at Sao Therapy offers a supportive space to understand low mood, hopelessness, disconnection, and changes in motivation or energy. Our Vancouver therapists provide compassionate, individualized depression counselling to help you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the parts of life that feel meaningful to you. Sessions are available in person in Vancouver and virtually across British Columbia.
TREATMENT FOCUS
Depression can make it difficult to feel connected to yourself, the people around you, or the parts of life that once felt meaningful. You may notice low mood, hopelessness, exhaustion, changes in motivation, difficulty concentrating, or a sense of moving through the day on autopilot. At Sao Therapy, depression counselling offers a supportive space to understand what you are carrying, explore the patterns that may be contributing to feeling stuck or disconnected, and begin rebuilding a greater sense of purpose, self-trust, and connection. Depression therapy is not about forcing yourself to feel positive. It is about creating space for what you are experiencing while finding ways to move toward the life that matters to you.
HOW THERAPY CAN HELP
Depression therapy can give you space to understand what may be contributing to feeling low, disconnected, exhausted, or stuck. Together, you and your therapist can explore the experiences, relationships, expectations, and patterns that may be shaping how you feel.
Depression counselling can also help you reconnect with motivation, pleasure, meaning, and the parts of yourself that may feel distant right now. This might include building more supportive routines, exploring difficult thoughts and emotions, strengthening self-compassion, or finding small ways to re-engage with the people and experiences that matter to you.
The goal is not to pressure you into feeling better before you are ready. Therapy can offer a place to move at your own pace while building greater understanding, connection, and possibility.
